How versions work

A brand accepts the brand terms when it approves a plan. Approving a plan is signing an order under the version that is current at that moment, and that plan stays under that version for good. Each version keeps its own address, so the text a plan was signed under can always be read again.

When a new version takes effect, a workspace that accepted an earlier one is asked to accept the new one at its next sign-in. An agent's API key carries the version a person accepted for it in Developers: a plan quote's brand_terms shows current_number and accepted_number_for_this_key, so an agent can tell when its key's acceptance is behind.

Version 3, October 12, 2026

The current version, at app.distribution.tech/terms/brand-v3.

  • The non-circumvention period is counted from the last time a creator was shown to you or booked by you.
  • The fee for booking an introduced creator outside distribution in that period equals the fee distribution would have taken on that booking.
  • A workspace that accepted version 1 or 2 accepts version 3 at its next sign-in.

Version 2, October 8, 2026

At app.distribution.tech/terms/brand-v2.

  • Creator names show on your own plan before you pay, so the terms describe what a brand sees before payment.
  • From this version on, an approval that names version 1 is refused.

Version 1, October 7, 2026

The first published version, at app.distribution.tech/terms/brand-v1. Plans signed under it stay under it.

A key comes from Developers once your brand is approved. Connect an agent to ask for access, then follow the agent guide.
